This Privacy Policy explains how KION (“KION”, “we”, “us”), a software house based in Port Said, Egypt, collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit kioncm.com, contact us, or buy one of our packages. We handle personal data in line with Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Checkout details: your name, email address, and phone number when you fill in the Packages form before paying.
- Messages: anything you send us by WhatsApp, phone, or email, including project details, files, and business information.
Payment information (OPay)
All online payments on kioncm.com are processed by OPay, our payment service provider. When you click “Pay with OPay”, you are redirected to OPay’s secure hosted checkout page, where you choose a payment method (such as a bank card or the OPay wallet) and enter your payment details.
- We never see or store your card number, expiry date, CVV, OTP, or wallet PIN. These are entered only on OPay’s page and handled under OPay’s security standards.
- We send OPay the order reference, amount (in EGP), package name and description, and the name, email, and phone number you entered, so OPay can create the payment and contact you about it if needed.
- We receive from OPay the payment reference, amount, currency, payment status, and time of payment, so we can confirm your order and handle refunds.
OPay processes your payment data as an independent provider under its own privacy policy and terms, which are available on OPay’s website.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, and date/time, kept for security and troubleshooting.
- Analytics and advertising tags: we use Google tags (Google Ads / Google Analytics) and the Meta Pixel to measure visits, ad performance, and actions such as clicking a contact or payment button. These tools may set cookies or similar identifiers.
- Browser storage: your theme, language choice, and a local visit counter are saved in your browser’s
localStorage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
2. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiries and deliver the services you request.
- To create your payment with OPay, confirm your order, and send you order-related messages.
- To notify our team by email when a checkout is started, so we can follow up quickly.
- To measure and improve our website and advertising.
- To prevent fraud, keep the site secure, and meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
We process data because it is needed to perform a contract with you, because you consented (for example, to analytics and advertising cookies), for our legitimate business interests, or to comply with the law.
3. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run our business, and only as much as they need:
- OPay — payment processing, fraud prevention, and refunds (see “Payment information” above).
- MailerSend — sending order notification emails.
- Google and Meta — analytics and advertising measurement.
- Our hosting provider — the servers that host this website.
- Authorities — when required by law or a valid legal request.
Some of these providers may process data outside Egypt. When they do, we rely on their contractual and security commitments to protect it.
4. Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also limit ad personalization through Google Ads Settings and your Facebook / Instagram ad preferences. Blocking cookies does not stop you from using the site or paying for a package.
5. How long we keep data
We keep enquiry and customer data for as long as we need it to deliver and support your project, and then for up to 5 years for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. Server logs are kept for a shorter period. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
6. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Card and wallet details are entered only on OPay’s secure checkout, never on our site. Our OPay merchant keys are kept on our server and never exposed in the browser, and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if an incident occurs.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, update, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, or to withdraw your consent at any time. Contact us using the details below and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Center.
8. Children
Our services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
